The Okanagan Model Sailboat Association has concentrated on the very affordable "Victoria" sailboat kit that is manufactured in Taiwan by Thunder Tiger. There are many good places to buy it on-line, and your local hobby shop likely keeps them in stock or would be able to order one for you. The kit provides the basic sail boat, and to increase the reliablility and performance of your Victoria sailboat, you can add the LONGBOW fittings and racing sails as described on this web site. fifteen #2 by 3/8" brass wood screws for shroud deckplates and deck cleats
four #2 by 1/4" stainless steel, sheet metal screws for the jib deck-plate

The above items are difficult to source in small quantities and are being offered
to Victoria builders to promote this sailing class.
Also, the screws that come with the "stock Victoria" kit are excessively large.

LONGBOW Victoria aluminum pre-built mast and boom kit

The LONGBOW pre-built mast and boom kit is designed to replace the very heavy mast and booms
that come with the Victoria kit and is made of 7075 aluminum alloy throughout
and is compatible with the stock Victoria goose-neck and mast-head crane fittings.

The LONGBOW pre-built mast and boom kit is comprised of five main components:
the three piece mast and the two sail booms, all manufactured from
thin-wall 7075 aluminum alloy in 'gold' and 'platinum' finish.

The base of the mast includes the lock for the LONGBOW custom mast step
and is pre-drilled and aligned to accept the two upper mast sections.

Both main and jib booms are predrilled for the sail, sheets and boom-vang attachment points,
and the out-haul guides are pre-installed at the ends of the booms.

The total weight of the LONGBOW mast, main and jib booms is only 1.8 ounces (52 grams)

The mast kit also includes the 3/32" aluminum pop-rivets for instant assembly.

The LONGBOW tapered carbon fiber mast kit for the Victoria provides a solution for the competitive racer who demands the stiffest and lightest mast possible for a state-of-the-art racing yacht. Mast length is 42 inches, and includes the alloy tube at the mast base for compatibility with the stock Victoria gooseneck fittings and compatibility with the LONGBOW custom mast-step.

The mast comes complete with the mast-head crane and the upper and lower shroud attachments
pre-installed to make for a very easy conversion to a carbon fiber rig.

This mast kit also comes complete with the super-light 7075 aluminum alloy main and jib booms as well, to make for full compatibility with the stock Victoria fittings as well as the other LONGBOW Victoria option kits.
